UW Student Housing – Sites 29, 31, 32, 33, 35, & Lander Hall

ORA was engaged as the Structural Special Inspection Agency of Record for the Student Housing projects which includes Sites 29, 31, 32, 33, 35, and Lander Hall. Site 29 included construction of five buildings containing 460,000 gross square feet with 930 apartment beds, 65,000 square feet of structured parking, programming space, plaza with underground water cistern, and coffee roaster/café. Site 31 included construction of two 7-story structures consisting of five levels of Type VA construction over two levels of Type IA construction. Site 32 included construction of a 7-story, 134,000-square-foot building with a residential hall containing 442 residential hall beds, program space – café, circulation space, fitness center, and classroom space. Site 33 included construction of a 7-story residential hall with common support spaces. Site 35 included construction of a 7-story, 239,000-square-foot building with a residential hall containing 600 residential hall beds, floor and study lounges, circulation space, and program space. Lander Hall included construction of a 5-story, 245,000-square-foot building containing the main dining facility and student resource desk for the University of Washington’s West Campus neighborhood.
