Temple Beth Am K’hilah Center

Location: Seattle, Washington

This project involved construction of a 20,000-square-foot classroom addition at the existing Temple Beth Am. The two-story addition provides twelve classrooms, four meeting rooms, informal gathering spaces, and tenant office space. It houses a range of temple programs, including religious education, fitness classes, and social gatherings, and is home to the Stroum Jewish Community Center’s childcare and parenting center.

ORA was engaged to provide testing and inspection of the following items:

  • Soils compaction
  • Soil-cement
  • Reinforced concrete
  • Gypcrete
  • Grout under bearing plates
  • Epoxy grouting
  • Anchor bolt installation
  • Wood diaphragm nailing
  • Welding
  • Pull testing
  • Floor flatness/ floor levelness evaluation
