The Pierce County Terminal development project is the centerpiece of the Port’s capital development program for redevelopment of the areas around the Blair Waterway. This project included construction of a container yard, an intermodal yard, infrastructure, utilities relocation, roadway work, traffic revisions, and waterway and turning basin widening. The new Evergreen Terminal is the largest construction project in the Port’s 85-year history at an estimated construction cost of $210 million.
ORA was engaged to provide complete testing and inspection services for the project that included the Administration Building, Generator Building, Main Guard Building, Maintenance Building, Marine Building, Reefer Wash, Roadability, Strad Wash, Trouble Shack, and West Guard Building.
