Location: Seattle, Washington
This $40 million project involved seismic upgrades and renovations to an existing 36-story, 854,000-square-foot federal office building. Renovations included repairing and replacing the casing and masonry of a one-square-block exterior, multi-level plaza renovations, upgrades to 22 elevators in the building, restroom upgrades on each floor to meet ADA requirements, an emergency generator, and new mechanical systems throughout. Security protocols and internal agency move logistics were coordinated closely with a number of federal agencies. The building was fully occupied and operational during construction. The building is LEED Registered with a certification goal of Silver.
