This project involved construction of a $40 million water treatment facility which includes an operations building that houses the main control room, analytical laboratory, offices, workroom, and lockers; a new intake structure and pump station; an ozone generation and injection facility; an Ultraviolet Light (UV) disinfection facility; and two pre-stressed concrete clearwells.
ORA was engaged to develop a comprehensive quality control plan and provide onsite quality control as well as testing and inspection services for the following elements:
- Soil compaction
- Reinforced masonry
- Reinforced concrete
- Seismic cable sets installation
- Pre-stressing of vertical threadbars and circumferential strands
- Pre-stressed threadbars and strands placing
- Shotcrete
- Epoxy grouting
- Grout testing
- Non-shrink grout placing
- Anchor bolt installation in concrete
- Structural steel fabrication and erection
- Nondestructive testing of welds
